Mental health practise in Ireland

I will make my mental health practise (5 weeks, including 185 hours in training placements) in Ireland.

My learning goals in first place, mental health rehabilitees day centre:
*Learn language
*Meet my negative attitudes
*Learn more about Irish culture and clients daily habits
*Help "my own client" to meet his fear (will telling more about this in my "critical insident")
*Take part of centres groups and things what are important to clients
*Make good liaison with other staff

    Ok, the blog works fine.

    It is good to have quite concrete learning goals as I think you have written so far. I wish that, during these weeks, you will reflect how did you achieve all the goals you have stated. Usually I want that student write mostly about what they have learned but of course I´d like you blog about what you have done, experienced etc - I mean also about not-so-goal-related things.

    Please check out the assessment/evaluation criterias I send to you. When your practicing proceeds, you could easily add some of the key goals for you from that paper. Like interaction skills, team work skills (as you have already mentioned) and one-to-one therapeutic relationship skills are very important when practicing. It´s good to ask from you mentor (ohjaaja) about their points of view, too.
